The barkeeper is very kind and with Google translate even the language barrier is not an issue. It was our first bar experience in Japan and it was delightful. We tried some fine Japanese whiskey. We highly recommend this place when visiting Kyoto :) the prices are absolutely fine. Thank you so much

Lovely place, perfect for couples or friends, dark themed bar with lovely bartender who helps with any questions about Kyoto or alcohols! Not pricey, normal prices, outstanding service.

Such an amazing experience! I went there with my partner to have a late night drink. We checked the reviews of the place as we sat down at the bar and got a bit scared, however the experience we got was completely different from what everyone was saying. The bartender was the sweetest man who tried his best to talk to us in English with a help of translator, and answered any questions we had about alcohols and drinks. Prices are not at all expensive especially if you come from country like UK, USA, Austria or France. We ordered 3 coctails and 2 shots of Japanese alcohol (the bartender was generous with alcohol and poured us triple shots haha). We got complementary snacks like truffle crisps and cinnamon cookies. We paid about £20 for all of that, along with extra alcohol tasting shots bartender gave is. Overall experience was lovely, the bartender freshly handmade a lemonade for me upon my request, and even hand drew us a map of how to find restaurant with chicken skewers at midnight. Lovely place, wide range of gins, whisky, bourbon, sake etc. Would highly recommend to anyone who's not scared to drink more than just a beer or vodka coke.
