Jesse is a fun and professional guy, with plenty of Spirit(s)! Knows a lot about his "collection" and recommends to your taste. I wasn't there for the food and didn't order this time. When in Kyoto and like Whiskey & Gin, be sure to check out the Fishbowl!

Great place to have a cocktail and talk with Jesse the bartender/owner. His knowledge of whiskey is impressive, and he has great stories.

Very nice and friendly place. I'm not too used of japanese menus yet, but actually it's not needed. For a shot, what you see if what you can drink and the choice is crazy, just ask for the price beforehand, so no surprises at the moment to receive the bill. For cocktails they can be personalised as well. Communication is key and easy, so really, the best would be to just do it. They were not too many people tonight, so it can be a good alternative to crowded places. If you're an english speaker looking to have a chat and you're frustrated with bars with locals with broken english, just go there.
