More Comments at Google MapI entered the store to try Kiryu's specialty, Himokawa Udon. Ordered curry nanban and offal stew with Himokawa udon. It's run by an elderly couple, and they serve freshly made food behind the scenes. The cost performance is so good that I would like to continue using this store for a long time.
I stopped by with my family for lunch on a Sunday in September. There are 5 tables in the store (3 seats for 4 people, 2 seats for 2 people), and all of them were empty when I visited. The landlady brought us a menu and water, and we ordered right away. We shared several dishes, but the curry udon (630 yen) and nikomi himogawa (580 yen) were especially delicious. The width of Himogawa was about 2 cm, giving it an impression similar to Kishimen. It was smooth and smooth, and even my mother, who has bad teeth, said it was easy to eat. By the time I left, about two groups had come to the store, and the store was busy. The owner seemed busy and was also offering delivery services, and I left the shop thinking, ``I want to eat this flavor often.''
I went to eat Himogawa udon. The location is easy to find as it is right next to Bakery Cafe Renga. The inside of the restaurant is small and old-fashioned, with only five tables. It seems that most of the customers are from the neighborhood. This was my first time trying Himokawa Udon, and I was surprised to find that the noodles were softer and less chewy than I expected. If you pick it up with chopsticks, it will break. The tsuyu had a strong flavor and went well with the Himo Kawa. It was interesting that it came with sweet potato tempura.
