More Comments at Google MapThis quite difficult to find place serves michellin level food imho. Food was delivered fresh before cooking. Only cow was not shown. Come with drinks for pairing. Great to impress your business guests here.
Place is bit tough to locate if it's your first visit, but gives an idea of hideaway, perfect for a date. The building access is from sloped side road, just passed the small church on right will take you to a dimly lit entrance stairway. Food is great! Very fresh seafoods, abalone and Ise-shrimp cooked alive. The abalone liver sometimes could be very bitter with bad texture, but here, it came out just perfect. I loved the wasabi-seaweed sauce which came with sea urchin. I can enjoy full glass of sake with that sauce! Steaks had 2 types, fillet and sirloin, both very soft and tender. I loved the black pepper sauce! Garlic rice is always a right way to close out the Teppan-yaki dinner. After half way done, they'll pour a soup to finish up. Service is always friendly but polite. Just the right amount of attention. The seating by chef on the center table could be bit tight on space though, especially with partition set due to the Covid status. Recommend reserving a room (which still will have a designated chef) for special occasion. Pricing is low to mid for this type of restaurant, 2 ppl with few beers and 1 bottle of wine was roughly 50k JPY.
<Teppanyaki Kaoru@Nishiazabu> A relaxing hideaway space First visit. Enter Teppanyaki Kaoru a little bit from the main street and then a little further from the road. When you step inside, you'll find a calm space with the main counter. On this day, I ordered the Miyabi course. There were many wonderful dishes such as sake-steamed sea urchin and steak, but what was particularly impressive was the garlic rice at the end. You can also have it like ochazuke, and if you dip the koge in the soup with yuzu in it, it becomes even more delicious! Thank you for the meal! <Menu> ◆Advanced Hokkai salmon roe pickled in soy sauce ◆Steamed raw sea urchin with sake ◆Sautéed abalone ◆Steak ◆Garlic rice ◆Muscat jelly
