Amazing Okonomiyaki! The owner was super friendly and taught us how to make one. It a hidden gem just minutes from Kyoto's Empirial Palace. Highly reccomend!

Great okonomiyaki in a neighborhood restaurant with a fun owner. I had a Mix and a Seafood okonomiyaki prepared by the owner, since I'm not good at cooking it myself. They have English menus, but the Japanese menu has more options. The owner, Miwa-san, knows a little English and seems happy to chat in a mix of Japanese and English.

We visited this restaurant early April 2019. It was run by the lovely lady and her 83 yr old father. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but don’t let that put you off! They made us feel very welcome and were great fun. The food was very tasty and of course it’s always fun cooking yourself at your own table. The beer went down well too. It’s super close to the imperial gardens for a walk to build up an appetite or walk off the food and beer! Would definitely recommend !
