Iiyama, Nagano, Japan｜Matsumi Sushi

Classic and very high quality sushi restaurant

There is a parking lot on the side. The owner and staff were friendly and we served delicious food at a low price. I feel like sushi is closer to this area. The sushi is large, and it's simply exquisite. Very delicious. It's a good store with a wide selection of Japanese sake.

It's a little expensive around here, but if you want to eat authentic Edomae sushi, it's recommended. Compared to the city, it is definitely a good deal and there is a volume. Nagano is surrounded by mountains, but perhaps because Iiyama is from Niigata, I was surprised at how fresh and delicious the seafood was. It is a shop that I would like you to try by all means for those who come for sightseeing. Though a bit pricey for the area, if you're looking for real Edo-Style sushi, this is the place to go. With volume and quality, and definitely more affordable than in bigger cities, this restaurant is highly recommended. Perhaps being situated right next to Niigata, seafood is surprisingly fresh and affordable in Iiyama, which is part of the few landlocked prefectures in Japan.
