Iida, Nagano, Japan｜Shanghai-ro

The ramen is the best I've had in Iida city. I ordered the chashu wontonmen medium size and it was too big for me.

Entered the store after 2pm on Sunday. Located in the center of Iida city, the town is quiet, but there is a waiting list. Where does it come from? I ordered a large bowl of chashu noodles for 1050 yen. The amount is about 2 balls of noodles. It's usually about 1.5 balls at other stores. It's Chinese noodles with straight, soft noodles, but the noodles are still chewy, and the soup is simple but good. I like the menma as it is not too sweet. There are 4 pieces of chashu, shoulder roast, but it's not dry, the taste is just right, and the amount is satisfying. I've been going to this store for about 8 years, and it's a well-known store with reasonable prices that I hope will continue for many years to come. The candy that cleanses your palate is also nice. As rumored, there was a line even before the store opened, but luckily I was able to get a seat on the first turn. The char siu wonton noodles contain 4 pieces of char siu (each weighing 40g) and 10 wontons, and the soft and chewy noodles go well with the soy sauce-based soup. Even with a normal serving, the noodles keep coming out from under the bowl. Men who can eat a large amount can eat the entire meal, but it may be recommended to eat half a meal. The dumplings are placed on top of cabbage, which is great for those who like to eat vegetables first. There is a great municipal parking lot nearby that is free for 120 minutes. It's a good store that you'll want to go to once in a while if it's near your home.
