Saku, Nagano, Japan｜Shoryu

I entered the store while being attracted by word of mouth that it was a glass-enclosed store. Although it is certainly glass-enclosed, the menu inside the store has a new and clean feeling. The menu is also substantial. This time I ordered mapo tofu Sichuan style and dumplings. (Mapo tofu also has Shanghai and salty variants.) Mapo tofu is well seasoned with spices such as Sichuan pepper, so it doesn't have the spiciness of chili peppers, but it gets hotter as you eat it. White rice is required. The dumplings were about 80% vegetables, but they were very juicy and full of ingredients. Large plates such as mapo tofu are just right for two people to eat. At dinner time, mapo tofu is 1300 yen and white rice is 150 yen, so it's quite reasonable. It was a good shop that I would like to visit again.

It is a particularly delicious Chinese restaurant in Saku. In the past, the owner taught me how to make siomai at a community center cooking class, and I was able to make delicious siomai at home, but the siomai at the store is something special. The chicken soba (salt) was also very good.

It had a strong salty taste that made me want to drink alcohol, but it was delicious without any strange scientific taste ✨ I will visit you again 🤙
