I love the udon here so much that I had to go back for a second round when I saw it in chitose (previous one was at Sapporo)! It was in July 2017 that I visited Hokkaido, and it is difficult to find food around that are suitable for Asian taste buds. Udon was just perfect, because ramen was too salty and the rest was just fried food which makes you heaty after awhile. They have an open kitchen concept where you get to see the preparation works, and the udon is made from scratch so it was of no surprise that the udon was so soft and chewy!!!! 😍😍😍😍 The broth, which you get to fill up your bowl with the desirable amount you want, was sweet so it was momentarily silent at the table except for slurping sounds. You get to take your fill of condiments where you fill up your bowl with the broth after making your payment. At the start when we entered, we were unable to decide what to order because the menu is in japanese. One of the staff at the entrance was kind enough to give us a menu in English. Do not panic when you enter, let me tell you how you order your food here: pick your choice of udon first and wait for it to be prepared with your tray, before moving on to the tempura section, where you are spoilt for choice (rmb to take a white plate for your fried goodies). Oh, I love the sweet potato tempura especially!!!! Pick what you want, and you are finally at the cashier! So you just move sideways like a crab 🦀 hehe but for a first timer, it's quite stressful as the queue moves very fast and you do not want to delay the process. Best thing is that japanese themselves frequent this store as well 👍🏻 (latest update: they have a store in Singapore right now!! woo-hoo!!)

Always like eating here, cheap and delicious.

Their udon is freshly made on the spot, springy and elastic. love their tempura too!
