Really blew my mind. Ambience was like a classic Chinese eatery. I heard from the waitress that they even have their own special shochu they only sell here. Please do give it a try.
I frequented it 20 years ago, but I haven’t gone since I returned to China. The store owner, his family, and the waiters are all very nice, and I feel very friendly. I miss them so much.
If you go south from JR or Hankyu Rokko, or from Shinzaike Station on the Hanshin Railway, you will arrive in about a minute's walk. Is it run by a family? The customer service is like home, and even though it's my first time in the store, I feel very comfortable. While setting the menu on the desk, the mother casually announced, ``This (Hainan chicken rice) available only on Saturdays and Sundays is delicious,'' and then left. Just by saying that, I'm sure it's delicious! It's an atmosphere. The Hainanese chicken rice was delicious, even if I took into account my bias as a fan of Asian food. Apparently the chef is originally from Singapore, and the food is completely authentic, made with authentic seasonings. The bone-in chicken meat is thick, yet tender and juicy. Rice cooked with chicken bones is like that! This was the flavor I wanted to eat. However, ``spring rolls'' actually surpassed chicken rice. We both ate 5-6 pieces, but it wasn't enough (lol) I want to eat more. It was freshly fried, piping hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned with no need for dipping sauce. I'll be eating there again soon.
