Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan｜Tonkatsu Wako

Visited on a Thursday at 7pm+, two groups of people ahead of us in the queue but it was just a short wait. We ordered the rosukatsu set (the meat is part-lean part-fat) priced at JPY1380. The rice, cabbage, and soup are refillable, but we were already full eating what was served so did not request for refills. The rice is glistening, the pork flavourful and perfectly textured, and the soup has lots of asari clams. The draft beer they serve is Kirin Ichiban Shibori. Highly recommended.

Nice cosy place for Japanese Tonkatsu. Very tasty and juicy the meat. Good services too. Beautiful decorations and make sure go early. Long queue

Staff is attentive and approachable. Presented us the English menu upon requesting. They have the lunch menu which is quite affordable as well. You can ask for extra serving of the miso soup, cabbage and rice all free of charge. Tonkatsu was excellent, the skin was crispy and the meat will melt in your mouth. Best tonkatsu I've ever eaten.
