More Comments at Google MapThe best tonkatsu in Nihonbashi area. It's an old tiny shop beloved by locals, in fact the chef keeps apologizing "Sorry my store is so tiny and cramped." which has become part of the atmosphere. What sets them apart, other than using good quality pork, is the breading. I think they make their own panko using hard bread, the result is a distinctly crunchy and flavorful breading. At 1,200 yen for loin set, it's practically a steal for this quality. Be warned that since the store can only fit about 10 people at a time it can get very crowded during weekday lunch with the office worker regulars all coming in, and the close early for dinner about 19:00 I believe.
I went there for the first time. It was 1400 yen for a large serving of pork loin cutlet and rice 😃 It was the best. The wild loin cutlet is very filling. Strong texture. It went especially well with a large serving of rice. I love tonkatsu and have eaten many different tonkatsu set meals, but this one is the best in terms of texture and texture. It's 1. I definitely want to go to Nihonbashi and eat there again. One more point: Although it was already past lunch, it was a popular restaurant and very crowded, so I left immediately after finishing my meal, but when I left, I was moved by what I thought was the owner of the restaurant, saying, "Thank you for your small space." I almost cried 😃This is a store that cares about its customers. I will definitely go again!
Visited on a weekday lunch time at 13:30. Luckily there was one empty seat and I got in. The restaurant has about 20 seats, including 8 at the counter and 3 at 4 tables. This restaurant is open for lunch from 11:00 to 14:00. The focus is on tonkatsu, but I chose the 1,550 yen assortment that also includes tonkatsu and fried shrimp. It takes a little while to feed the shrimp, but the way the host says he's sorry and says he's doing his best is memorable. Then, the pickled vegetables, rice, and red miso soup come out, and finally we receive the platter. The shrimp are big! Lol, and two tails. My first impression is that the portion is quite large, along with the bite of pork cutlet. The sauce comes in sweet and dry flavors, and I like the sweet one. Let's start with shrimp. Crispy, hot, and big. Also crispy. The batter is crispy. I had the tonkatsu with salt. Refreshing and crispy. My humble husband was able to enjoy a delicious assortment.
