Himeji, Hyogo, Japan｜Yutori Shiomachi

We ate there last night as Germans (Doitsujin). The food and beer was very good and the chef and staff were very nice. The chef even translated us on the smartphone "if we have any questions about the food, we're welcome to ask". English menu is available. We would eat there again! Arigato gosaimasu!

I am posting this review as an English speaking foreigner to help other foreigners/tourists traveling in Himeji. This restaurant is fantastic! Their menu is very friendly for those who do not speak Japanese. The waitstaff also speak conversational English. The staff at the restaurant is very welcoming and kind. If you are looking for a traditional Yakitori restaurant with a great selection of food, check this place out. They have several Yakitori options as well as other Japanese fare, all at very good prices. We had several beers, the chefs choice of 10 Yakitori, edamame, cucumber salad, fries, and 6 pork Yakitori. The restaurant offers 2 floors of seating, some bar seating and the rest is floor seating at comfortable low tables. The atmosphere is fun and lively, the waitstaff was very friendly, and the locals were excited to talk to us. If you are in the Himeji area and looking for a tasty meal, I would recommend this place!

Excellent place. We arrived in Himeji quite late on a Sunday and didn't know where to go. This place was really great and friendly. Very patient with our basic Japanese and it had an English menu. Excellent chicken and cheese mochi (it's on the Japanese menu).
