Very nice toriyaki

This is a long-established yakitori restaurant that is a place of relaxation for Sapporo citizens. Fujitori has the image of always being fully booked ever since it opened. If I go without a reservation, I always get turned away, but on this day I happened to be able to get in. The premise is that the yakitori is delicious, but the great thing about Fujitori is that the sashimi and a la carte dishes are also delicious!

The yakitori here is good overall. I ordered a total of 8 pieces of chicken skewers, pork belly, skin, and tsukune each in shio tare, and the meat quality, texture, and spicy flavor were all excellent. There is a review saying that it is unfriendly to foreigners, but rather than being unfriendly, I think it is because I did not have much experience with foreign customers at the time of that review. I guess they were conscious of Google reviews being translated. When I went today, when I entered the store, it was a yakitori restaurant. Are you okay? Japanese. There was only a menu, but they first asked if it was okay, so I didn't feel discriminated against or offended. The speed at which the food came out wasn't that slow compared to the Japanese tables around us. Rather, it was okay because it was nice to see the server actively trying to take orders even though communication was poor. It's hard to read the menu, which is written only in Japanese (but this seems to be the case in Dongwon's places that either receive a lot of tourists or are local-oriented.) There's a QR code for the store's Instagram at the bottom of the menu, so you can order after looking at the Instagram photos. I did it. And there is a seat fee. I think it's around 320 yen.
