More Comments at Google MapOne of the best Yakitori places I have been to. So friendly staff and exceptional service. We took the 7 skewers set and was great. I would recommend the counter and enjoy watching the chef busy cooking while talking with guests. Oh and very nice Sake (Fukushima and Yamaguchi Toyobijin). They keep the door open all the time as COVID-19 precaution. May be better have a light sweater in winter time.
Yakitori Sadajuro is our new favorite yakitori place in Tokyo. It’s not super cheap, but not too expensive or high-end either. We’ve been here twice and both times it cost around 5,000-6,000 yen per person including drinks. There are several tasting menus here, but you can do a la carte as well. The first time we came here we did a la carte and the second time we did the 2,500 yen tasting course, which comes with an appetizer, salad, and five skewers and then ordered two additional skewers, a yaki onigiri, and a carbonara to share between the two of us. All of the skewers are cooked to perfection and all of their rice and noodle dishes have been delicious so make sure you order those in addition to the yakitori. We never thought that we’d have carbonara at a Yakitori place, but it was especially good. Everyone who works here is young and friendly so you’ll definitely get good service here. They serve a “shijimi espresso” at the end of the meal. This is a dark colored clam soup that is served in the form of an espresso and is not coffee. We were surprised by how good this was, especially in the winter. Sadajuro is also one of the few restaurants (in fact it may be the only Yakitori restaurant) that allows dogs so this would be a good spot for anyone who is a pet owner. Just make sure that you make reservations and add a note saying that you are bringing your dog so that they can give you one of the semi-outdoor seating areas. The area has a sliding glass door so you’ll still be warm during the winter!
This traditional-looking but refined yakitori joint was great overall. The menu was quite affordable for the location and size of the meal. I suggest starting off with the 5-yakitori set (comes with appetizers, salad, etc), and order individual yakitoris if you're hungry.
