Never tried yakitori in Japan. We had trouble to locate it at the beginning. If you see the square signage of 焼鳥, look for the entrance around it! As a first timer, we loved this place! It was small and cozy. The skewers were excellent ! juicy and tender. It located only about 8-10 mins walk from the Prince Park Tokyo Tower Hotel. There were two Family Mart on the way there, it would cover most of your needs, very convenient.

This small restaurant is truly a gem. Yakitori is amazing, with tender and succulent pieces of chicken. They have an English menu and the service was very prompt and attentive. We did not have a reservation and the place is quite small so it may be a good idea to book a table or be prepared to wait a bit, however it's worth it. We also appreciated the music, a nice collection of classic rock - Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Queen.

Very tasty food with several small courses but high diversity. Sort of like a tasting menu but without the pretenses of a fine dining establishment. The restaurant is extremely small (maximum 13 people) so you have to get lucky to find a place. The server is very friendly even though communication can be a bit difficult. Drinks are on the pricier side but the food is worth it.
