This is a small local shop with Ei-chan as the master (owner/chef). If you do not speak Japanese, you will have a difficult time but the staff will still do their best to help you. The staff only speak Japanese but true to Japanese form, they will do what they can to help you. Please be patient. There are no bad dishes on the main menu. From the sample platter of yakitori to the single orders of yakitori, you can get a lot of good food. The fried rice (cha-han) is the best rice dish on the menu but the yakitori donburi is also delicious. Some chicken dishes come rare, but most sticks of yakitori are fully cooked. There is a whiteboard with the specials of the shop that are not in the main menu. Some are there for long periods and some change based on the season. There are lots of drink options and if you want a lot of shochu or Japanese whiskey, you can keep your bottle in the shop. The main beer is Asahi Super Dry in both regular and Extra Cold versions. Please be aware that they almost always close before midnight, the time Google states. If the light in the lantern outside is off, that means they are either closed or they are full and can't seat anyone else. If the "noren", curtain, in front of the shop is inside, that means they are closed. On average, the last order is sometime between 10~11pm, based on how busy the restaurant is.
