Kyoto, Japan｜Best Charcoal-grilled Yakitori - Nijo Station Branch

My Japanese sucks but you'll get by pretty easily with the English menu. Staff is really nice and easy. Great vibes here, food is very naisu and tasty! Can get smokey in here but it fits the vibe!!

We found this place on our way back to our hotel. Like all the best places it’s small, local and welcoming which creates the perfect atmosphere. Menu in English too which always helps! The Yakitori skewers we had were great, duck, quail eggs wrapped in bacon, beef with ponzu, pork belly. The fried chicken was perfect and the fries and potato salad everything you’d want them to be. Great value too. Perfect, we hope to come back next time we’re in Kyoto - M & C from the UK

Great local yakitori joint for a cold beer and delicious skewers after the sun goes down. The staff were very accommodating (despite our badly spoken Japanese) and diners were mostly locals. Somehow, even as “tourists”, we felt right at home in there. Thank you for experience!
