My husband and I were blown away by the quality of the meal, the warmth of the service, and the atmosphere of this hidden gem. Everything we ate was delicious. Be warned that there is no English menu, although staff are patient enough to try and figure things out with you. We ordered off TripAdvisor photos and that worked well. Our neighbours even treated us to a stick of pork and negi (leek). It was such a delightful night. Two other things to note: 1) cash only, and 2) smoking is allowed.

Quintessential old-school yakitori reataurant featuring "Shamo" chicken. A great, comfortable atmosphere, and excellent food. Not a large restaurant (seats 20?) so plan ahead. The food menu was not huge...but Covid and Obon holidays may have affected the choice options. Drinks on the other hand are plentiful...with a nice variety of sake and shochu...and ofcourse draft beer (Yebisu). Yakitori was perfectly grilled and ridiculously tasty. My favorites from my meal were bonjiri, seseri and ginnan.
