I used to go here often when I lived nearby. Yakitori is really delicious. Especially when it comes to liver, I have yet to come across anything that impresses me more than this shop. For that reason, he was particular about grilling, and said that if the food was even slightly burnt or overcooked, he would not be able to serve it. The owner is always guarding the grilling area to ensure that the food is served in the most delicious condition, and the landlady is in charge of both the kitchen and the hall. I don't think I have time to show off my affection towards people who call me out, choose their menu slowly, end up not ordering, or get drunk and make a fuss. If you're a regular at Mabashi, you should know that much. I miss how the landlady would always see me off when I went out after paying the bill. This is the kind of shop you'll want to visit again if you have something to do nearby.
