Karuizawa, Nagano, Japan｜Kawakamian

Came here for dinner and it turn out amazing! The restaurant can get really busy during dinner time. But don’t be deceived by the queue, it actually moves really fast as the restaurant has plenty of tables. Love the vibe of the restaurant. They are famous for their soba. The texture of the soba was just so perfect! To our surprise, the grilled dishes (grilled pork belly, mushroom etc) are amazing as well. So do try them! Service is top notch too even though the restaurant is pretty packed.

Luckily, we got to this place before the queue. The prawn tempura was light and crispy. However, the noodles are what they're famous for. Bouncy texture served in a delious dashi broth.

This is a great soba noodle shop. Not sure if it's the best in town but it's really good. The tempura is also really good. I recommend getting the cold noodles with the shrimp and vegetable tempura option. Really light as well so great before walking around town.
