Otsu, Shiga, Japan｜くし屋敷【大津・びわ湖浜大津駅】

We went to find somewhere to eat lunch after visiting Lake Biwa and had the great fortune of finding this place! Food was absolutely amazing, we had the Sukiyaki set that also came with a sashimi platter, rice, grilled salmon, and a milk pudding dessert with strawberries. They also have different types of udon, and rice bowls on the menu. The service was excellent and was very accommodating to us as foreigners. Definitely give this place a visit if you're ever near Lake Biwa/looking for a day trip from Kyoto!

I ate curry and grilled meat bowl for lunch. It was so delicious that I want to go again soon. The room was relaxing, and the shop staff was kind, so it was a mess. I want to eat other menus, but the curry and yakiniku bowl were so delicious that I want to eat them again.

When I visited the other day, I had an assortment of grilled conger eel and tempura. I will never forget the moist and smooth texture of the seared conger eel. Shrimp tempura is so large that you can't eat it all in one bite, and it has a thick and plump texture. Every time you stuff your mouth into the batter, the crunchy sound spreads in your mouth along with the elegant taste. I can't believe this store was so close to me. To be honest, the food in Shiga is as good as the food in Ginza, Tokyo.
