Chiba, Japan｜SHIOSAI

Dinner was delicious. We had shabushabu and it was a fun experience for us, being from Canada. Servers were kind and attentive and prices very reasonable considering quality and quantity. Very little English spoken but we got by with translation apps.

My first experience sitting down at a Japanese style restaurant and I am very happy. The staff did not speak English, but they were very accommodating, and the recommendation I ordered was wonderful! Word of warning: There is no English menu, so if you are unable to read Japanese, you may want to find a way to translate the menu or ask for a recommendation.

I used it for a meeting between my two families on Saturday. This is a Japanese restaurant inside a hotel. I would have preferred a private room or a private room, but since I had made a last-minute reservation, I was told on the website that there were no vacancies and that I would be sharing the space with other guests. I was surprised to be shown to a private room on the day of the trip, and when I asked, I was told that the private room had been cancelled, so I had originally requested a private room, so the change had been made in a hurry. I thought it was very hospitable. The food was also very delicious. The taste was mild, but some of the dishes were made with dashi soup, so I think I enjoyed it more than the price. I had booked a regular course, but it seemed like some of the dishes had been changed for a celebration. I was very happy that a dessert plate was also prepared for the celebration. If I have the opportunity to have a dinner in Chiba someday, I would definitely like to use it again.
