Kasama, Ibaraki, Japan｜Maezaki

This is a Japanese restaurant located on the street in front of the gate of Kasama Inari Shrine. I think this place used to be a yakitori restaurant. It has been beautifully renovated and has a nice, clean atmosphere. There are about 5 tables, so you can enjoy your meal slowly. We also have a variety of delicious brands of sake and shochu. The food at this restaurant is all delicious and satisfying, including sashimi and other fish dishes, tempura, steak, and yakitori. However, it's been so busy lately that it's hard to get a reservation, which is frustrating... I highly recommend it.

The hostess was very attentive and frequently refilled the tea. [Lunch] Refills were free for menus that included rice. The master seemed to be a chef. Judging from the conversation, I think there were more locals than tourists. [Dinner] When I went, I was served a side dish of vinegared monkfish liver. I was excited from the start. All the dishes were delicious and the presentation was good. The taste in the utensils is also good. I would hate it if it became too popular and crowded.

I've been to Kasama Inari Shrine several times, but it's been a while since I've been wandering around the approach to the shrine, and on impulse I bought some chestnut stew with astringent skin that was sold at the store. It was my first time eating it and it was really delicious. This is a great deal for 1000 yen.
