I found this udon restaurant while looking for a delicious lunch near Kamikitazawa Station. After reading the reviews, I noticed that the noodles were not very chewy, so I decided to give it a try. It's definitely delicious. By the way, for an additional 150 yen to the udon noodles, you can make it into a set menu, and you can have a large serving (2 or 3 balls). It also comes with 2 rice balls or cooked rice. For an additional 150 yen, you can suddenly get a lot of baguette. I think it would be good for people who want to fill their stomachs, students, and people who have just finished running a full marathon, but I was very satisfied with just one ball. I'm glad I didn't force myself to use 2 balls. The most important thing is the taste, but the noodles were really chewy, just like the udon I've eaten in Takamatsu and Marugame, and one bowl was enough. Even after the noodles were left, the soup stock had a gentle taste that made it easy to drink, so I drank it all. If you want a different flavor, there are ground sesame seeds on the table, and the flavor you eat with Ichimi is delicious. I don't usually eat udon, but this will be my choice when I come to Kamikitazawa again. It was delicious, I will go again!!

I've been here several times since it's nearby. I like the unique texture, which is different from the chain's Sanuki udon, and the slightly sweet soup stock. If you order a set meal (choice of rice ball or cooked rice), you can get extra noodles for free, but be careful as the amount is huge after only 2 balls! When I visited, they only accepted cash.

Arai Seimen has closed down, so I'm glad there's another udon restaurant nearby. When I visited around 12:45, there were about 10 customers, and more customers came in one after another, but the rotation was good. It is rare and wonderful that a store of this size has two toilets, one for men and women. Although the taste is bland for me, the noodles are hand-made and have the perfect texture. The wife is very nice, but it's hard to order without always looking at the kitchen and occasionally at the table, so I'd appreciate it if she could pay more attention to her surroundings.
