More Comments at Google MapYou can eat traditional "Sanuki-Udon", which is from Kagawa prefecture, in the southern part of Japan. This is really chuwy, thick, and yummy of cause, and most of all, it's really cheap. My recommendation is "Bukkake", just pour soy sauce, a raw egg (it's normal to eat raw eggs, no worries it's fresh) and some drops of lemon juice on the Udon, really simple, but that is the best! And as a topping, you can also order mixed vegetable tempura. The veges are from around Fukaya, so which means really fresh and tasty. This store is in a little bit far from Fukaya station (JR), so you can hire a taxi, or get off at Takekawa St (Chichibu tetsudo-line) and taxi as well. Or meybe good plan to rent a car and plan short trip around Kawamoto (in Fukaya city), Yorii, and also Chichibu. The staffs are really friendly local ladies. Unfortunately, they can't speak English, I guess, but doesn't matter, just have a try talk freely, that's okay. The store opens everyday. However, it closes before 3pm, only for lunch. Although a little bit inconvenient place, worth visiting it, enjoy!!!
I like the Kumagaya store, so I've been looking forward to coming to this store for a long time. This is a shop that is loved by local workers. Is the taste of the soup stock a little different from the Kumagaya store? I thought. Both are delicious though. The noodles in Kumagaya seem to have a firmer texture... Kumagaya also wins when it comes to enriching the rice menu. Recommended for people who want to eat Sanuki udon in this area.
This is a restaurant where you can eat authentic Sanuki udon in Fukaya City. It is located near the Cardiovascular and Respiratory Disease Center and a little further into the Kawamoto Industrial Park. Udon is Hot (noodle hot, soup hot), Atsuhiya (Menon, Tsuyu Rei), Hiyahiya (Menrei, Tsuyurei), Hiyaatsu (menrei, tsuyuon), Bukkake there is. You can choose large, medium, or small. I took the tempura onto a plate with tongs, placed it on the tray, and then ordered the udon. And then there is the accounting system. Types of tempura include kakiage, pickled ginger, green onion, garland chrysanthemum, carrot, chikuwa, and squid. ······etc. We also have rice balls, inari sushi, warm eggs, boiled eggs, and raw eggs. The price is reasonable, just like the authentic Sanuki udon from Kagawa Prefecture. I ordered the piping hot medium sized portion and the tempura with pickled ginger, green onion, garland chrysanthemum, and chikuwa. Apparently they use local Fukaya green onions. Sanuki udon has a unique chewy texture and is delicious. The noodles are homemade, and the water and salt concentration are adjusted according to the temperature and humidity of the day. It seems that the ingredients for the soup stock are ordered from Kagawa Prefecture, where it is made. It's craftsmanship. This is authentic Sanuki udon. I ate the tempura by dipping it in the soup. good! ! You can also eat it as is! I had a snack, but I felt like having another drink. This time, I ate small bukkake with hot egg. It also contains grated daikon radish, add soy sauce to your taste, stir, The bukkake was also very delicious.
