Visited around noon on a weekday (Friday). Business hours are only for lunch (11:00-13:30), and when I went there around 12:30, there were many customers in the shop. As for Yoshida udon, I have been to the famous Watanabe udon shop and several other shops, but my impression is that many of them have a similar atmosphere. Many of the staff are elderly, and they welcome you with a simple and laid-back service that makes you feel warm. For ordering, fill in the number of menu items to be ordered on the menu paper (with photos) installed on each table and order to the staff. This time I ordered a large serving of meat udon. It wasn't even 5 minutes, it was served right away. Light seasoning for soup. It has a low saltiness and is gentle on the body. Udon is thick noodles like a square when looking at the cross section like Yoshida udon. The Yoshida style is that it has a firm firmness that is chewy, but it is not sticky. It is a delicious noodle with a rich texture. The texture of the meat is similar to that of tsukudani, and the seasoning is modest, just like the soup. This style is common in Yoshida's meat udon. It was simple and easy to eat, so it was a taste that made me want to eat it again and again. Above all, this price is wonderful for this taste and quantity. I think this is the top class (favorite shop) among the Yoshida udon shops I've been to so far.
Located in a residential area, the shop feels loved by the locals. The seasoning of the soup was light and I liked it. 600 yen for meat tempura udon is the price you would have to wait in line for in Tokyo. It is a style where you sit in the tatami room, fill in the order form on the table, hand it over to the store, and when you are done eating, you pay for it yourself.
