Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi, Japan｜Arakuraya Udon

The BEST udon i have ever had in my life. These are handmade local-style noodles that are chewy and doughy, making them a thrill to eat. The interior is a beautiful and quaint traditional japanese restaurant that makes you feel like you're at home.

This place is someone’s home. The udon was amazing, cheap, and very relaxing. You sit on tatami mat with a lot of space around you. You can also have a view of mt Fuji from one of the windows. This is the 650yen udon.

We went here since we google places to eat while in Fujiyoshida (after visiting Chureito Pagoda to see Fuji San). It was a very cozy place, you eat in a tatami, the family speaks very little english but it was enough for us to communicate. They have a simple english menu but also it was enough for us to understand and google what we didn’t. It was a super nice home meal, well prepared extra long noodles and a delicious broth. We would totally recommend and love to go back again someday! 美味しいです！
