Nikko, Tochigi, Japan｜Suzukawa Cafe

We arrived in Kinugawa later in the evening (past 8PM) and most eateries were already closed. We stumbled upon this gem hungry and drenched from a sudden downpour. I think technically they were past service hours for meals (just a couple of regulars having a drink at the counter)? But the kind owner took pity on us, and we had the fried chicken set which we can honestly vouch was the most delicious meal we had during our entire trip! Not only incredibly delicious but also super cheap considering the amount you get. We will absolutely visit again if we get the chance. Thank you for warming our stomachs with your wonderful food and kind hospitality!
