More Comments at Google MapAs a foreigner who had tried some notable tonkatsu joints in other Japanese cities, I was very pleased with the light crispiness of the rossu katsu here. The owner suggested I mix the tonkatsu sauce with some mustard sauce, which I previously did not know about, and it's my new favorite. The rest of the set meal really hit the spot, so I think I'll stop by again.
A tonkatsu restaurant located a 5-minute walk from Matsuyamachi Station. I hear from a real estate agent that it is delicious, so I visit it occasionally. I didn't take any pictures here because it's NG. Tonkatsu restaurants in Osaka often cost more than 1,000 yen, but the signature demi-katsu set meal here costs 930 yen (with a discount on weekdays). The tonkatsu is tender and juicy and the sauce is delicious. The cabbage is also fluffy and delicious, and you can get free refills for both rice and cabbage. (Even the regular-sized rice is served well.) It also comes with clam soup, so for a set meal that costs less than 1,000 JPY, it's a great value and will fill you up. I will wait for around 15 minutes to provide it, so I would like to visit again when I have time.
delicious. I'm full. You are not allowed to leave any leftover rice, so if you are unsure, it is better to ask for less rice. There are a lot of warnings, but the staff is pretty average.
