I came to Mishima for a walk after a long time. I went around Rakujuen and the Genbei River, and since Eel has become such a tourist destination, I stopped by for lunch as usual. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife team, and the interior is clean. The taste is average, but not overwhelming. I want town restaurants to remain open like this forever.

Weekday lunch. There were no customers at around 11:40. After that, I came to the store around 12:00 and it was almost full (no waiting). The loin cutlet set meal has a large cutlet and plenty of fat. The batter is crispy and the rice goes well. The sauce is sweet. There's a decent amount of rice, and the Shizuoka oden comes with cabbage, pickled vegetables, and miso soup, so you'll be pretty full. The restaurant has an old-fashioned atmosphere, so you can enjoy a leisurely lunch while watching TV. There is a parking lot, but it seems to be a little far away, not next to the store. I think you need to check in advance.

I searched for tonkatsu and visited by myself around 11:45 on a weekday. There were 2 table seats inside the store and 4 in the tatami room, and the two customers in front of us found a table available and we were guided to the tatami room. I ordered a loin cutlet set meal for 880 yen for lunch, and it was served in just over 10 minutes. One plate of miso soup is quite filling. First of all, the miso soup is very delicious, with the miso of your choice and the soup stock working perfectly. Pour the sauce in the jar over the cutlet using a ladle. It's rich and goes perfectly with the cutlet, and goes well with the rice (though the rice is a bit small). It's hard to believe it's only 880 yen! It's not strange to pay 1,500 yen for free refills of rice. This is a long-established store that I hope will continue to exist. Thank you for the meal.
