Matsuda, Kanagawa, Japan｜焼きカツ丼 零 大井松田店 (とんかつ零)

Had an excellent bowl of katsudon. The sauce has already been applied to the pork cutlet. Thickness of the pork cutlet is just nice. The egg is cooked to perfection. Chef applied a layer of sauce at the bottom of the rice which make the whole Don taste heavenly. Flavor and texture is at its optimal.

This is a restaurant I came across to have lunch near Matsuda Station. I had the grilled katsudon (above). The price is quite high at 2100 yen, but it's delicious! This thick piece of meat is cooked tenderly, and paired with the egg and sauce-soaked rice, it's absolutely delicious. Next time, I'd like to get a special feature that is thicker. Thank you for the meal.

I wanted to eat katsudon after an event at Fuji Speedway, so I went here before changing to Odakyu. Because it was after 14:00, there was plenty of room in the seat and I was able to enter smoothly. In advance explanation of the menu of the store, we did not offer the thickest one, and added a special grilled cutlet bowl with a large amount of rice and a grilled egg. The meat of the special rib roast is soft, and the rice with baked eggs instead of boiled eggs is fluffy and slightly sweet. The taste was strange, so I probably sprinkled a little salt and pepper on the provided cutlet (a magical powder-like thing called Osho), and ate the cutlet, and after eating the cutlet, I also ate the pickled wasabi greens that were provided, and it was delicious until the end. Ta. About a year after I moved from Tokyo, I used to go to Takeda-san in Ina City, Nagano Prefecture, to eat sauce katsudon. . There seems to be a half size special, so please enjoy the rib roast.
