The miso tonkatsu platter I had was fantastic. The fried breading was done right, not too hard and not too soft. This place is still delicious in 2023.

Tanaka has stores not only in Gifu Prefecture, but also in Nagoya and Tokyo. While there are several different categories of meat dishes, if you're looking for tonkatsu, this is the LC World store near the Ono Kobe IC. It was past 13:00, but I was able to order the 20-meal limited menu for lunch. Loin pork cutlet & fried shrimp, crab cream croquette (select 2 dishes) ¥1650-! You can choose the sauce for loin tonkatsu, but in Gifu, miso, the meat is soft, the fat is sweet, and the miso is delicious. Shrimp is big and plump, crab cream croquette and rich crab cream croquette are outstanding. It's over budget, but great for a little extravagant lunch.

I came here for lunch after a long absence. I got the fillet and the seared. The coating was crispy and the inside was juicy and very delicious. The rice, pickles, and miso soup all went well with the tonkatsu, so I ended up ordering more. I would like to come again.
