Taito City, Tokyo, Japan｜Shabutatsu

It was our first and best shabu/sukiyaki in Japan! A totally unexpected find, a small little shop tucked in a quiet lane. We were initially put off as we entered cuz they allow smoking in the restaurant but we didn't regret staying on! We ordered a suki set that came with a platter of beef, veges, tofu and rice while the shabu set came with similar ingredients but with udon/ramen. Both were superb. Hospitality was great too. We will be back!! Thank you so much for the warmth, friendliness and perfectly cooked food.

We had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, the meat excellent and the owner is trying her best to support, as the menu is only in Japanese available! Overall a restaurant, which I can only recommend! Thank you!

A small place with very warm people. Everyone was so friendly, including the other customers. They tried to help us the best they could with translating, but be prepared to use a translating app. The food and drinks were great, highly recommend this place.
