Shizuoka, Japan｜Sumarutei Yayoicho

I used to go to Sumaru-tei a lot about 20 years ago. The shirasu kakiage and the sakura shrimp kakiage were delicious and I went there often. I think soba is the main dish, but the udon was surprisingly chewy and delicious, and the soup was a little sweet, which I liked. When I went there for the first time in a while, it seemed like they were putting a lot of effort into the meat. It's a pity that my favorite kakiage is not sold because I can't remove the sakura shrimp and shirashi... However, I was surprised that the menu had expanded from before and the 500 yen lunch was cheaper.

It's been a while since breakfast was 300 yen, so I was a little surprised to see that it was 400 yen when I came back for the first time in a while. Previously, I only ate tanuki, but the morning menu has expanded, and there are also chikuwa tempura, burdock tempura, and chicken tempura, so I was impressed that they wouldn't raise the price just for free, but now that tanuki is also available, it's a bit strange. I thought it would make a difference. If they line up like this, the raccoons will have to be removed. I chose vegetable tempura udon. It was definitely delicious.

A noodle shop that can only be found in eastern Shizuoka. I ordered the breakfast set menu. In addition to the vegetable kakiage (included in the price), I added sakura shrimp kakiage (separate charge). A large serving of soba is free. I got the normal amount, but I was surprised by how much it was! What's more, the set included rice with clams!
