Shibuya City, Tokyo, Japan｜Tenkazushi

Wanted to try a conveyor belt sushi chain initially but reviews were very mid so we were really glad to chance upon Tenkazushi! It had a very lively atmosphere with the sushi chefs actively working on orders and adding fresh sushi to the belt. To order, simply grab from the belt or call out to the sushi chef for other items not found on the belt. They’re super efficient and very friendly. Won’t say the sushi was the freshest but for the price, it’s really a good deal. A good heartening meal in general~

Restaurant not easy to find (downstairs from the street) but obviously popular in a busy area among many places that aren't, a queue of 10 people a mix of locals and tourists. Didn't have to wait long, 5-10 minutes as around 20 seats. Easy to order, friendly service (English spoken) and a variety of freshly made sushi on the conveyor with other items on the menu made immediately for you on request. If you are looking for 5-star cuisine that would be a different meal for you but we enjoyed 24 plates and 3 drinks for ¥ 5300 which is fantastic value.

I had lunch here two days ago and the sushi here is incredible, especially for the price. Old school style sushi conveyor belt diner with friendly staff who treated me (Aussie foreigner) with care and respect. You can take from the conveyor or order from a menu (they have an English menu or you can use Google translate on Japanese menu). I honestly couldn’t fault this restaurant, it was great.
