Funabashi, Chiba, Japan｜HAMA-SUSHI Minami-funabashi

After visiting Japan over 10 years time, Hama Sushi (pronounce as "Hamazushi") has become my favorite dollar-sushi restaurant in the world. As I always say back home, our $5-$10 dollar sushi does not even compare with the ¥100-110 sushi of this place (that's less than a dollar right now). So I am actually not all that motivated to go out for sushi in the USA and rarely do. I would rather wait for my next trip to Japan and then spend a modest sum (less than $20 per person) on what turns out to be a massively HUGE lunch or dinner at Hama Sushi. And the fries! That's simply the cherry on top of the cake. The most fun part is ordering and then watching your food ZIP to your table on a high speed conveyor belt. It's not like in the old days when the color-coded sushi plates would slowly march by. Today, your sushi rides on the indoor Shinkansen and is expedited directly to your table, so no one steals your special orders, like the fries! To top it all off, they have great make-your-own matcha green tea as a perfect complement to everything. I ordered melon soda twice for this meal, and I find it so tasty and refreshing. Even the desserts are wonderful, and inexpensive. I love this place!

Love this sushi place! A lot of options to choose from! Clean, fast, and affordable! Will definitely go back to this sushi chain anywhere!

Not crowded and the sushi came extremely fast after ordering. I had seen this place before I came to Japan in videos. I was very happy to dine here.
