Good local mom n Pop shop. Great spot for a post surf meal. Big portion size Japanese style sets. Thick cuts of pork (sourced locally), unlike the thin strips you get in the city. The old man & lady running it love a friendly chat.

It's been a long time since I found a delicious restaurant! Order the best loin cutlet set meal The meat seems to be thicker at the top. First of all, the batter is thin and the focus is on the meat. The heat is well-done and the center is pink. The meat is full of flavor and is delicious! soft! No chewing force required! The meat itself is delicious, so it doesn't require much sauce. Even soy sauce is good It's like eating meat. Also, the rice is sweet and delicious! This is a must-try restaurant for tonkatsu lovers. It was a homely and comfortable atmosphere.

Visited 2022.8.27. I had a chance to eat tonkatsu for the first time in a while, so I took a drive and visited [Tonkatsu Joraku] in Mikawa, Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture. This is a shop that caught my attention when I was traveling around the city for work! ︎ Without hesitation, we chose the ``loin cutlet set meal (with less cabbage),'' and Kami ordered the ``upper mixed set meal (with less rice).'' The crispy fried batter and just the right amount of elasticity of the meat go well with the rice! ︎The kinpira garnish is quite delicious, and you can finish it in no time! Local people came to the store one after another, and it was crowded, so we paid quickly. I enjoyed delicious tonkatsu for the first time in a while ♫
