WOW! Katsu's textbook, ceiling! I ordered a Loin from Chiba Prefecture which can only be described as perfect. It is fat and thin, and the meat is bursting with flavor! The crust is crunchy! The rice grains are huge and full, the rice fragrance is lingering, and the grain texture is perfect! I can’t remember the last time I had a meal! If you're in Tokyo, it's definitely worth coming to Shinjuku to eat there.

5 minutes walk from Shinjuku station! (Seibu-Shinjuku Station, same 5 minutes) I visited [Katsu Prepo]! It will open in September 2021 and will be a famous restaurant that has been nominated for the Tonkatsu category of the Tabelog 100 Famous Restaurants. You can enjoy the supreme pork cutlet prepared by Mr. Ko Chun-shin, the owner of Tokyo Meat Shabu-ya, which continues to impress many foodies. The store is located in Kabukicho, Shinjuku, in the same space as "Pretty Pork Factory", which opened in January 2021. This time after worrying "Saddleback Shoulder Loin Katsudon" ¥5,500 I ordered. The lunch-only katsudon is available with all kinds of tonkatsu, and you can order it for 500 yen off the price of the tonkatsu. The ``Saddleback'' pig is a rare breed that is called the ``phantom pig'' in Europe. It is characterized by its marbling, which has a low melting point that melts at the temperature of human skin, making the shoulder and rib roast especially perfect for those who want to enjoy the rich flavor! The white-haired green onion toppings and the spicy seasoning matched the tonkatsu and rice very well and stimulated my appetite. Before I knew it, I was done eating it in about 10 minutes (lol) Some people may be surprised to hear that the tonkatsu costs over 5,000 yen, but personally I found it to be well worth the price. There were many other items on the menu that I was interested in, so I would like to visit again sometime. It was a feast.

I was able to get in on the same day by making an online reservation. I ate the diamond pork shoulder loin. The price is a little high, but the pork oil is sweet and different from anything I've eaten before. The cutlet was of course delicious, but the rice was freshly cooked and sparkling, and the side dishes were top notch as well.
