I have visited this restaurant a few times. It is located on the 12th floor of Daimaru Tokyo. The service is prompt, and the food is delicious. They offer a range of Tonkatsu dishes with varying qualities. The quality of food and service is consistent. No matter which Tonkatsu dish you choose, you won't regret it. However, you may have to wait during peak meal hours.

I had lunch at Tonkatsu Maisen on a weekday at around 12-ish. Got seated at a table fairly quickly, and offered a multi-language menu. Had the 130g rib roast pork cutlet set meal that came with refillable rice and raw shredded cabbage, as well as miso soup and pickles. The pork cutlet was fried to perfection, not too oily, and the accompanying sauce (think it’s the restaurant’s special sauce) went well with the pork. The service was impeccable, with someone coming round to take orders fairly quickly, and there was regular refills of tea. One of the waitresses came out with a refill of cabbage about 15 minutes into my meal. Daily intake of fibre - checked. This set meal is limited to 10 a day. At just ¥1400, this is extremely good value.

Loved it. Delicious melt in your mouth pork with crispy panko coating and a super yummy tonkatsu sauce that you could taste the individual elements of. I went with the pork fillet and it was perfect. Took advantage of the offer for extra cabbage and my partner did the same along with some extra rice. I will be back for more before leaving Japan!
