Very kind service and super tasty food. We had some katsukare which was super juicy and flavourful and also some fried Salmon which came with a very tasty sauce. The food came very quickly and was prepared right in front of our eyes. Would definitely recommend to stop by if you are in the neighborhood

By chance, we stumbled upon Tonkatsu Toyama, an authentic katsu curry delight, Locals filled the restaurant, no tourists in sight. The food was superb, taking our taste buds to new heights, Reasonably priced, it made everything look bright. Without a doubt, we'd return in a heartbeat to eat, Escaping the crowded temple, where crowds and queues compete. A fun and flavourful escape, our cravings fulfilled, At this tonkatsu heaven, our taste buds thrilled.

The menu served variety of Ton cuts and we picked the kurobuta (black pork) premium cut. There are other choices as well aside from pork (refer to menu photos from others). The place is cozy, not big but clean and the waitresses are attentive. The tables compliments with spicy pickles, tonkatsu sauce, wasabi, charcoal salt and other sauces. Food service was around 15-20mins, the portion was honestly big for what we ordered. The crunch of the panko to the melt-in-your-mouth kurobuta experience was so-so good. Extremely tender and juicy. I definitely enjoy this and one of the top in my list for this trip. Would come back again! We also ordered the fried oysters which were extremely fresh and perfectly cooked. IG - chrisleong.wh
