Oiso, Kanagawa, Japan｜Hayashitei Tonkatsu Restaurant

Of the six or so restaurants I've visited in Oiso so far this is the best. Striking the exact right balance between quality and value for money. The katsu rosu and katsu curry were fantastic, large crispy breadcrumbs and not a hint of oil, light and delicious. The curry sauce had little chunks of beef in, perfect texture and rich flavour. The owners were friendly and attentive, the decking area is perfect for eating outside and the price very reasonable.

I'm not very good at fried food, but I think the grated daikon radish fillet cutlet set here is the most delicious tonkatsu in the world, from the last bite. The location near the sea is also good ◎

The pork cutlet, crab cream croquette, rice and miso soup were all delicious! I will stop by next time I come to Oiso
