This is my favorite cutlet shop in Japan. I try to go at least once a month for lunch. Not only is the filet cutlet delicious, the miso soup, rice and cabbage are super, too. At lunchtime, the rice, cabbage and miso soup is free refills. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Best in Japan so far

This is a "famous" Tonkatsu restaurant in Ofuna, where you will be welcomed by the samples in the shop. On the 2nd floor of a retro mall where time flows slowly, the gourmet area is actually full of famous shops. Among them, Asuka pork cutlet is definitely delicious. I had a loin cutlet lunch @ 950 yen. It comes with a crispy batter, a hearty cutlet, and fried shrimp and fried potatoes. All delicious. And the sauce is delicious. I have been going there for over 10 years. Overwhelming 5 stars, even with a slight increase in price, but still cash only. I hope this shop will continue to be loved well into the Reiwa era.
