Kamakura, Kanagawa, Japan｜THE TONKATSU CLUB

Came here for Saturday dinner and LOVED the food! We arrived some time between 5:30pm-6pm and were the first people in the restaurant. The chef/owner? let us bring our huge double stroller (Uppababy Vista) inside and pushed 3 tables together to accommodate our family of 2 adults, a toddler and a baby. Ice water and hot tea was served immediately (with free self serve refills). We ordered off the “set” menu—I got the Iwachu pork loin and my husband got the pork filet. Both were tender, juicy and incredible! The salad (and salad dressing) were yummy too. The miso soup had tiny clams in it! Best tonkatsu I have ever had. Next time I want to try their sandwich. Highly recommend this place!!

A restaurant managed by only one young chef. Pork chop are well made, soft and tasty. Miso soups are also filled with ingredients. Only downside is that you need to translate the menu yourself as you are having food at some local good restaurant.

Delicious Tonkatsu with clam miso soup. Away from the crowds and no wait when we visited on Sunday 12pm. Spread out seats with modern interior design. Would visit again!
