More Comments at Google MapA new tonkatsu restaurant that just opened in July this year near Mizuhodai Station. Although it is a one-man operation by the owner, the inside of the store is new and clean. This time, I ordered the famous "Fuji Katsudon" with a large bowl of rice. It's the type of katsudon that doesn't dissolve in eggs that has been on the rise recently. Spread a fluffy egg on top of the rice and place a thick loin cutlet (400g) on top. The dish is finished with a sweet and salty sauce similar to that of kabayaki eel, which gives the impression that the whole dish has a sense of unity. The cutlet does not seem to have been cooked at a low temperature beforehand, and when ordering, it is explained that it will take about 20 minutes to be served. The meat has just the right amount of chewiness, so you can enjoy the feeling of eating meat, but it's never too chewy, and you can see that the meat has been carefully prepared, such as by trimming the strings. The meat is thick, but the coating is thin, so it naturally absorbs less oil and has a surprisingly light texture. The rice is a large serving, and I think it costs about 400 yen. However, an extremely thick 400g katsudon costs 1,250 yen, which is cheap. Also, the signboard says ``Food and Drinks'', so it's probably a place where you're welcome to drink lunch. Next time, I would like to enjoy a full course meal, starting with freshly fried pork cutlet and beer, and finishing with a set meal.
I had the ``Special Fuji Katsudon'' for lunch on Saturday. I had wanted to go there for a while, but since I commute to work using the Tobu Tojo Line express train, I didn't have a chance, so I ended up being the first in line to enter the store just before it opened on a holiday. I did some research in advance and learned that it would take 20 minutes to be served since it weighs 400g, so I ordered a Hoppy and waited while drinking it. When I actually tasted it, the meat was thick, but the carefully prepared cutlet was soft and delicious. Thanks to you, I ended up drinking two more hoppy cups in the middle of the day. The owner and (probably) his wife were also very friendly, and I could tell from our short conversation that it was a very comfortable shop. I would definitely like to visit again.
Have you been liking the pork cutlets and cabbage you eat at pork cutlet restaurants lately? It looked like it had opened, so I went to check it out. It's a late weekday lunch. I was worried because some reviews said the rice wasn't delicious, but it was fluffy, white, and soft! The cutlet was also delicious♪ Refills of cabbage and rice cost less than 1,000 yen, so it's cost performance⭕ The dressing was also delicious. It would have been nice to have salt on the table. Seating is at the counter and 2 tables. I didn't have a place to put my things, so it would be nice if there were baskets and hooks. The restrooms and the inside of the store must have been renovated, so it was clean! They also have a variety of kushikatsu and snacks, so it seemed like a good place for people who drink alcohol. The staff at the store also had a good attitude and had a smile on their faces. Smartphone payment was also available. I would also like to use it for takeout.
