Wako, Saitama, Japan｜Tonkatsu Wako Katsukuni

First visit on Saturday around 1930. It seemed like they were taking reservations, so the restaurant was full with us. Counter seats are available for those traveling alone. They have yakiniku, which I don't think was available when they first opened, and when I ordered the pork offal set meal, the meat was very fresh...! The liver has sharp edges, the heart is plump, and the parboiled teppo melts when grilled. There was a good amount of rice and cabbage, and I think the price of 770 yen is too much. I thought it would be a shame because there are only a few restaurants where you can eat grilled hormones if you are alone in Shimoto, but then I found a great restaurant. The nakaochi kalbi that my companion ate comes with whole chunks of meat, and you grill it yourself and then cut it with scissors and eat it. I was told that the meat was tough. There was also an introduction to the skirt steak set meal on the wall (it looks like the meat is pre-cut), so I'd like to try that next time.

Ah, it's just delicious. I had the mini cutlet bowl and soba set. Personally, I felt that the seasoning of the egg in the katsudon was a little sweet, but it was very smooth and juicy! The cutlet is chewy and thick! However, is it soft and has a crisp texture? I feel like that's a strange expression, but that's how it feels💦 Highly recommended! Next, I think I'll have the pork cutlet set meal from the ginger grilled set meal.

The place that used to be a yakiniku restaurant has now become Katsukuni. In addition to Katsukuni's standard menu items such as tonkatsu and katsudon, the restaurant also serves snacks (fried foods, etc.), grilled meat, and alcohol, as it is a former yakiniku restaurant. There were many families and many people ordering yakiniku and alcohol. Tonkatsu sauce, kushikatsu sauce, and stir-fried mustard oil are available on the table, and orders can be placed using a smartphone that reads a QR code. It's a little crowded since it just opened. This time I ordered katsudon. It was a stable taste.
