Kyoto, Japan｜Katsudon Gen

This place really hits the spot for katsu. Had pork cutlet and fried chicken combo. Breading was spot on, sauce was great, portions were perfect for me and the fried chicken was quite moist. Only negative I can think of is the fried chicken was missing a bit of salt but would otherwise still order the same thing again. Came here around 3pm, no wait (obviously). They have an english menu, so not a problem. Cost is reasonable (cheaper than most places I've been to in Tokyo). Go here! You won't regret it.

Great restaurant. Good food and great service. We order 2 set and ended up have to take togo as the food is very filling.
