More Comments at Google MapI ordered several portions because they all looked delicious. Omurice, fried pork cutlet, soba noodles, and fried rice are all delicious! The clerk is very enthusiastic. There are also many locals coming to eat. We went there at 7pm and it was still very lively.
If you’re looking for a tonkatsu the size of your face come to this restaurant. It looks family run which is always a good sign. The restaurant looks like it was stuck in time but in a good way. The only thing inside that’s modern is the television. There’s no English menus but that’s not a problem. There’s a menu with some photos and the food display outside is helpful too. The waitress was super friendly and despite the language barrier we figured out what was what on the menu. I spotted the tonkatsu Japanese fried pork cutlet on the menu for 900¥. It’s sliced thin but still a decent sized portion. And the brown sauce on top could make a leather boot edible. I loved it. The bowl of rice, the miso soup, even the heap of sliced cabbage with mayonnaise dressing put a smile on my face. After speaking with the friendly waitress for a little bit it seemed like you can supersize some of the items on their menu for an extra 100¥. But have to know how to read the menu. The meal filled me up and got me charged and ready for the 1.5km walk to Wakayama Castle. Love this restaurant’s atmosphere and wish I could visit more often to try out more items on their menu.
Every dish is huge and tastes great!
