Attentive and lovely staff. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The vibe is fantastic with the classic jazz playing. An absolute must hit if you are staying in the area. Note, if you were like me and wondering why it looked like the katsu is plain, it is in fact not and is deliciously flavored. So worry not!

won’t be long to bring out your food as soon as you step in. ordered the tempura shrimp meal with rice, soups, pickled lettuce, and mayo sauce. the tempura both the shrimp and the skin will melt in your mouth. for those near the area it is a must try for fried food lovers.

Food was great! Service was quick and friendly too, and English menu is available. I've always wanted to try Niigata's miso katsu, and I'm glad to have the chance to try it while in Kyoto!
