Kariya, Aichi, Japan｜Takeuma

This place made me fall in love with Nagoya-style miso tonkatsu, or pork cutlet dipped in miso-based sauce. Definitely recommend going if you're in Kariya, which would normally mean people who got assigned to Kariya because they work for either Denso or Aisin, or they're from Mississauga, Ontario (sister city relationship).

It's delicious beyond all reason. Crispy batter and juicy pork. 6 types of dipping sauce to choose from. Even though they don't use pork from a special region, you can simply enjoy the taste of the meat. 150g of loin/fillet is also recommended.

It was very easy to eat in the beautiful interior and atmosphere. The tonkatsu set meal is very filling, and the tonkatsu itself is sweet, high-quality meat, and very delicious. The braised pork belly is also soft and delicious. The taste is good, not too sweet. I want to go eat there again
